Why to go Abroad
Ever dreamed about waltzing the sidewalks of Santorini? Sipping water on a porch in Crete overlooking the ocean? Everyone always says to use your 20’s as an opportunity to travel, and what better destination than the beautiful beaches, rich architecture, and vast history that is found within Greece.
College Year in Athens (CYA) is a program open to college students, that provides resources and planning to spend anywhere from 2-weeks, and a year exploring and enjoying Greece. The CYA headquarters are located in Santorini, which is world-renowned for its white buildings, blue roofs and winding sidewalks.
The stress of travel that comes from planning, safety, and organization is diminished with the help of CYA. They will plan your trip, arrange your needs, and cater the trip to your wants and desires. Participants rave about the program's ability to, “put the student and the student's experience first, this is the main reason I have fallen in love with Greece.” There are countless opportunities provided to you, from a museum tour, so a yacht island hop, all provided to ensure that you have the best experience possible.
CYA helps students explore a variety of islands, such as Santorini, Crete Corfu, Paros, and many more. The program offers apartment-style living, family living, and even hotel living on certain islands. This truly provides an array of opportunities to immerse into Greek culture no matter how long you are residing in Greece.
Going abroad can be scary, especially when you’re young. Being young is the best time to get out and explore, and CYA is there to help you experience your dream vacation, while also prioritizing your needs, safety, and well-being.
