CLOTHES

I have always been known as a bad packer. I over pack. Chronically. But for once, I was proud and excited to be under weight on my suit case, and it paid off. I wore just about every outfit I brought, and I wore each pair of shoes at least twice!

May in Greece is a consistent 70 degrees Fahrenheit. This calls for a healthy mix of shorts and pants.

In Greece it is mostly expected that pants are worn until mid June. This means I brought more pants than shorts. I brought two pairs of jeans, two pairs of joggers, and two pairs of leggings. For shorts, I brought one pair of jean shorts and two pairs of nice colored shorts. This ended up being a great mix! I would often start the day out in pants and by 3 or 4 p.m switch into shorts.

As far as tops go, I am a layer girl! I like layers because I hate being hot, and I don't love being cold. This means I brought five different options- ranging from jean jackets to button ups. These came it handy each day! Underneath the layers I usually had on some sort of tank top. I brought six tank tops, three shirts, one long sleeve and five layer options.

Aside from the clothes above, I also two dresses, a romper, and three swim suits. These alternative outfits were reserved for fancy nights out, and of course, swimming. In Greece, as a more formal country, gowns are usually past the knee. Because of this I opted to bring all long dresses.

This is also a helpful idea as Greece is notoriously windy during the warmer seasons.

Walking around in a short dress simply would not have been very comfortable as I would be holding it down the whole time!

The shoe repitore consisted of one pair of comfortable walking tennis shoes, one pair of cute tennis shoes, a pair of Chaco sandals, and a pair of platform heels. This combination of four different- get extremely comfortable pairs of shoes was idea for the trip. On cooler days, I had two options for tennis shoes, and on warmer days I could throw on my Chacos. I found myself wearing the platforms to dinners and nicer events throughout the trip.

All in all, comfort is above cute in the world of travelling-

but ideal wear is cute and comfortable! I am someone who doesn't put up with uncomfortable clothes, so I don't have to worry about bringing uncomfortable clothing. Being active, walking around all day, but also knowing you may be in some photos can be tough and stressful for some. I go to the store seeking clothes that I can do 4 jumping jacks in without losing comfort. Yes I test this in the dressing room. If you have that much range of motion in the new clothes, you will be able to make it through a day of walking in them.
